Production of Visuals and Reproduction of Notebooks for the Award-winning Movie
Synopsis: On Christmas Eve in Montreal, Alex and her mother Maia receive a package in the mail. Inside are the countless notebooks, cassettes and photographs that Maia, between the ages of 13 and 18, sent from Beirut to her best friend who had left for Paris to escape the war. These constitute Maia’s Pandora’s box.
-scope Ateliers has worked during 3 months on the production of images for the movie, mixing contemporary and archive images to intergrate characters into 1980s photographs, and on the reproduction of Joana Hadjithomas’s notebooks which constitute the thread of the narrative.
