Expanding Horizons: The Sursock Museum's New York Campaign

The Sursock Museum stands as Beirut's premier modern and contemporary art institution, serving as a vibrant public platform for debate, critical thinking, learning, and unlearning. It is dedicated to preserving the collective memory of Beirut, capturing the city's diverse identities and complexities at the heart of Lebanon and the region.

To increase its relevance and outreach to citizens, residents, and visitors of all ages, the Museum remains free of charge. To fund its activities, the Museum organizes benefit gatherings, including a cocktail event in New York. This campaign, designed by -scope Ateliers, featured a series of illustrations that placed the Museum within iconic Manhattan and Beirut landscapes, viewed from various perspectives. These illustrations were utilized across different materials, from invitation cards to posters, auction cards, and a leporello with nods to artworks from the Museum’s collection, and with funding information on its back.
